(Calgary, October 12, 2011) On October 28, the Gospel Music Association of Canada (GMA Canada) is proud to present the Covenant Awards at Calgary’s Foothills Alliance Church. Now in its 33rd year, the Covenant Awards celebrates the best in Canadian Christian music in categories including rock, pop, gospel and aboriginal. New for 2011, one ticket will give attendees access to both the annual industry banquet dinner and the awards show.
“We are always looking at ways to improve the Covenant Awards,” says Leroy Harder, CEO, GMA Canada. “By combining the banquet dinner and awards show into one event, we are creating the ultimate celebration, giving artists and fans an exclusive evening of fellowship, food and music.”
Along with handing out awards in 44 categories, the evening promises an incredible lineup of performances including: Brian Doerksen; City Harmonic; Junkyard Poets; Ali Matthews; Mike Janzen; Tenore; Sean Spicer; Jon Buller; Fresh IE; Jodi King; Jon Bauer; Dan Bremnes; To Tell; and Jacob Moon.
Tickets for the Covenant Awards are $65 and must be purchased online. Doors open at 5 PM with the evening starting at 5:30 PM.
